Nicholas Moler-Gallardo is an interdisciplinary artist exploring the facets of the image and how it shapes our surroundings. By adopting photographic processes and using sculptural tools for subversion, Moler-Gallardo compels spectators to reconsider how remembrances are made into meaning. Through this construction and deconstruction, these captured moments of the otherwise invisible, fracture and become mere traces, leaving the possibility for new histories. Abstraction allows these passive images to exist in a collective consciousness. Nicholas Moler-Gallardo is an artist living and working in Portland, Oregon since 2017. Moler-Gallardo is a co-founder of the artist-run gallery, The Envelope (2017-2019) as well as a co-founder of the artist collective, WAVE Contemporary. Moler-Gallardo received his BS from University of Oregon.
